Professional Headshots at Career Services

Free, convenient, self-service

Meet Iris, a photo booth equipped to take high-quality professional headshots sent directly to your email. This service is available to all Bobcats, students, alumni, faculty and staff, and is always free.

About

Texas State Career Service's newly acquired headshot photo booth makes it possible for faculty, staff, students and alumni to take free and convenient professional headshots. The Iris is a self-service machine with no appointment necessary. As it is a drop-in service, there may be a line. Enjoy complimentary coffee from our Career Café while you wait.

Location

The Iris photo booth is located in the Career Services office in the LBJ Student Center. Head up to the 5th floor to get to the Career Services suite (5-7.1)

Group headshots

Classes, student organizations, etc.

While we strive to accommodate all requests, please note that exclusive use of the photo booth for your group cannot be guaranteed, as we prioritize individual headshot drop-ins. However, we do offer staff-assisted blocks of time for group sessions, during which a dedicated staff member will be available to assist your group in making the most of your time with the machine while still ensuring that individuals can use the booth during your session. Fill out this form to request a group headshot block and we will reach out with more information.

Preparing for a headshot

A nice blouse, a collared or button-down shirt, or even a plain dark top in a color like black, navy, or grey can look very professional in a photo. For the best results possible, prepare ahead of time to ensure your hair, makeup, accessories etc. are done in a way that makes you feel confident. Optional items that add a great polish: tie, jacket or blazer.
